Lordship Lane, East Dulwich, SE22 - £385,000

Deco building design took great care to make the most of natural light and fresh air. Many purpose-built Deco flats have access to outside space and larger-than-necessary windows to enhance residents' wellbeing. Here both these features are evident; you have a private balcony off the kitchen and huge windows that are all double-glazed. The kitchen is smart, modern and appealing with metro tiles, open shelves and a thick cut wood worktop. There's a roll-top bath, rainfall shower head and wall-mounted taps above a freestanding basin in the bathroom, fittings have been very well chosen. Decor is well-thought-out in every room - the reception has an exposed brick wall, exposed pipework, soft grey walls and pale putty carpet.

Walk to trains (London Bridge, Victoria) and London Overground links (Canada Water, Shoreditch, Hoxton, Daltons Junction and Highbury & Islington) at Forest Hill in 15-20 mins, or get a bus there in 5. Buses from here will get you into central London and the City, night buses will bring you home and the P4 gets you straight into Brixton. You're close to bustling bars and bistros further along Lordship Lane and closer to pubs and shops in Forest Hill. The alley across the street is a short-cut into Dulwich Park - which you can amble across to reach Dulwich Village.
