Upland Road, East Dulwich, SE22 - £575,000

In a leafy residential spot in East Dulwich, this whopping split-level apartment is both upper floors of a Victorian terraced house. It measures 900sqft and has a beautiful reception with a feature fireplace (with what appears to be an original mantelpiece), painted floorboards, twin sash windows, column radiators and feature wallpaper. At the rear is a contemporary kitchen with gloss white units, a fitted dishwasher, freestanding cooker, mosaic splashback and recessed down-lighters. Both double bedrooms have column radiators and bespoke fitted wardrobes while there's alcove storage in the reception. The bathroom is a fair size and there's a separate cloakroom next door.

As locations go, Upland Road more or less runs from Peckham Rye to Dulwich Park with this flat being halfway-and a 10-minute walk, between the two. East and North Dulwich stations are a 15-20 minute walk and share the same lines for London Bridge and West Croydon services. Buses from Forest Hill Road travel up to King's Cross and from Lordship Lane up to the City and West End (with night-bus services). You can grab a bus to Forest Hill or Honor Oak Park stations for Victoria trains and London Overground links to Canada water, Shoreditch, Hoxton, Dalston Junction and Highbury & Islington. Goodrich Primary School is very good while older kids can attend either of the two OFSTED 'outstanding' Harris academies at Peckham Rye. You've superb pubs nearby, the Herne Tavern has a great garden and the Great Exhibition does quiz and music nights. Boutiques, bistros and bars along Lordship Lane will amuse you most weekends.
