Alderbrook Road, Clapham, SW12 - £1,150,000

Every inch of this house has been expertly reconditioned and there's also the opportunity to add value by converting the loft or extending across the side return in the garden (you'd need planning consent of course, but check out the house next door). Being a 4-6 minute walk to the Northern Line is great, the kids can walk to local OFSTED "outstanding" secondary schools, the Common is on your doorstep as are a gazillion good shops, restaurants and bars.

A freestanding stove is fitted into the chimney breast in the kitchen/diner. Units are white and handleless and the worktop is grey Corian. Down-lighters are fitted into the ceiling, flooring is engineered wood, there's a bright double aspect and the double French doors open out to the garden. The garden has raised beds, a lawn, a paved terrace, new fencing and an outside tap.

Space under the staircase in the hall has been converted into a downstairs cloakroom. Two fireplaces are on show in the double reception; one has a solid marble mantelpiece, the other carved wood. Upstairs has a split landing and three perfectly presented double bedrooms. The rear room has an en suite shower while a well-put-together bathroom serves the two other rooms.

Clapham South tube links are 4-6 minutes' walk for the Northern Line, Balham train station is 7-10 minutes' walk for Victoria and London Bridge services. Alderbrook Primary School is well-regarded and a few doors down while Chestnut Grove School and La Retraite are both OFSTED "outstanding" secondary options and a 10-minute walk each. Clapham, Balham and Battersea have a superb assortment of shops, bars and restaurants. And you are, after all, close to Chelsea, darling. ...Read Less
