Algernon Road, London, SE13 - £675,000

How pretty can a house be? This adorable Victorian home was creatively refurbished around 3-years ago and around 11-years ago, the roof was entirely replaced. Renovations include a loft conversion to create a master bedroom and en suite shower room, gutting the kitchen and installing underfloor heating and French doors, installing a new combi boiler and a new electrical fuse board, renovating or replacing every (double-glazed) sash window and adding new radiators.

The fireplace in the double reception is original and floorboards are exposed. White, handleless kitchen units are topped by a solid wood worktop and upstand while integrated appliances include a Bosch dishwasher and an Indesit washing machine. There's a freestanding stainless steel stove, large ceramic drop-in sink and Moroccan encaustic tiles across the floor. On the first floor are two double bedrooms and a large shared bathroom. You'll find exposed floorboards, an original fireplace and an original alcove wardrobe in the larger bedroom while the second has an original wardrobe, modern column radiator and carpet. Bathroom additions include a roll-top cast iron bath, a cupboard with plug sockets and exposed floorboards. Up in the loft is a bright double bedroom with two large Velux windows and access to eaves storage that is boarded and lit. The en suite shower room has marble hexagon tiles, a large walk-in shower area and an impressive built-in rainfall shower head. A smidge over 46ft, the garden has a paved terrace, lawn, established shrubs and a potting shed. There's also side access from the street.

Lewisham station is 7-minutes' walk for zone 2 trains (Cannon St, Victoria and Charing Cross) and DLR service (Canary Wharf and Bank). Ladywell trains are a 9-minute walk for trains into London Bridge (a 10-minute journey). The two best nurseries in the area (Catherine House and Zoom) are with 10-minutes' walk while many schools are within half a mile and include: Prendergast, Prendergast Vale, St Saviours, St Mary's, Morden Mount and Ashmead. Walk to (the very superb) Brockley Market, Street Feast at Model Market, Hilly Fields, Ladywell Fields, Glass Mill Leisure Centre and Ladywell Village for a butcher, delicatessen, florist, gift shop and newly revamped Ladywell Tavern. Tesco, Asda, M&S and Sainsbury's are all a short walk as are highly regarded local restaurants L'Oculto, Sparrow, The Brookmill and The Talbot.
