Colwell Road, East Dulwich, SE22 - £749,995

Found at the end of a short terrace of workers' cottages, this home is currently being used as a 4-bedroom house by switching the two downstairs receptions for bedrooms. It's a fair arrangement and suits the house well as the first-floor reception (which would've been the master bedroom) stretches the width of the house, coming in at an impressive 17.5ft. Use the space as you wish, it's very versatile.

Kitchen units are modern, there's a built-in stainless steel oven/hob, plumbing for a washing machine, back door to the courtyard garden, bright double aspect and an attractive casement window. Flooring is either laminate or biscuit coloured carpet, walls are painted cream and woodwork is white.

East Dulwich is buzzing with boutiques, outstanding homeware retailers and some very good restaurants. The new Picturehouse cinema is a few doors down and you're never far from a craft beer or expertly mixed cocktail. Heber Primary School is nearest while church-goers can choose from St John's and St Clements or St Anthony's. Older children can apply for Charter, Kingsdale or either Harris academy at Peckham Rye. East Dulwich trains will get you to London Bridge (15-mins) or Victoria (40-mins) while Denmark Hill is in zone 2 and has non-stop Victoria services (9-mins) and London Overground links to Clapham Junction, Canada Water, Shoreditch, Hoxton, Dalston Junction and Highbury & Islington. Buses from Lordship Lane will offer a scenic trip into the City and West End.
