Waveney Avenue, Nunhead, SE15 - £799,995

Waveney Avenue is known for its very pretty Victorian half houses. This home has two sets of large sash bay windows that make the sitting room and bedroom above exceptionally light. You'll find a cast iron fireplace and high skirting in the sitting room at the front of the house, while the dining room has wooden French doors that open out to the garden. There is a cupboard under the stairs and an alcove cupboard in the dining room. Open to the dining area is a modern kitchen with a built-in stainless steel oven and gas hob, an under counter fridge and freezer, washing machine and a brand new window.

Both first floor bedrooms have new carpets and built-in wardrobes. At the rear of the hall you step down into a large bathroom with white sanitary ware, a shower over the bath and a wall-hung basin. The loft extension has created a large bedroom with eaves storage, two Velux skylights and a rear-facing Juliet balcony with views of the Strata and London Eye. The shower room up here has a contemporary walk-in wet area.

Peckham Rye station is a 10-minute walk, in zone 2, has regular trains (London Bridge, Victoria, Blackfriars, City Thameslink, Farrington and St Pancras) and London Overground services (Clapham Junction, Canada Water, Shoreditch, Hoxton, Dalston Junction and Highbury & Islington). You're within arm's reach of some fabulous bars and eateries with Pedlar, Bahn Bahn, Mr Bao and The Rye being moments away. Central Peckham has many more great places to eat and drink, two supermarkets, a farmers' market and a leisure centre with a swimming pool. Nunhead has an independent high street with a traditional fishmonger and butcher, while Bellenden Road offers restaurants, pubs and exclusive independent shops - both are a few minutes' walk. The boutiques and bars of East Dulwich are literally a walk across beautiful Peckham Rye Park.
