Blackheath Park, Blackheath Park, SE3 - Guide Price £1,495,000

Blackheath Park is a wide tree-lined avenue that runs just behind Blackheath Halls and Conservatoire, laden with Victorian and Edwardian detached and semi-detached houses and the occasional Georgian home. This house is at the end of a short terrace of older properties, has Listing status and large front and rear gardens. Remaining period features include fireplaces, stripped floorboards and sash windows while more recent additions include a shower room with double width shower and a modern bathroom with traditional looking fittings, Travertine tiles and rubber flooring.

There are four stories, the kitchen and adjoining dining room are on the basement level and have doors opening to the front and rear gardens. Cottage style kitchen units line walls, there's a double butler style sink, open shelves, open crockery cabinet, a built-in green enamel oven/hob, plumbing for a dishwasher and a quarry tile floor. There's also an exceptionally deep larder/storage cupboard. You've space for a large dining table and sofas in the adjoining dining/reception room. Beautifully crafted cupboards and bookshelves are fitted and the floor is thick-cut wood parquet. The original Georgian fireplace remains with its grate intact.

The hall-floor double reception is currently arranged as reception space to the front and a study area overlooking the rear garden. The large sash window is arched, the original fireplace with ornate grate remains and traditionally styled bespoke office storage has been fitted in the study. A cloakroom and cupboard are near the garden door.

Three of the bedrooms are doubles with fitted wardrobes and the fourth is a large single. The master bedroom takes its traditional place at the front of the house, stretches the entire width of the property and has wall-to-wall fitted wardrobes, twin sash windows and a full en suite bathroom. Bedroom two is used as a studio/second office and has desks and drawers built-in but could make a suitable child's room or guest bedroom. The shower room is at the rear on this level while two large double bedrooms are on the upper floor.

With the Village at your fingertips, you can walk to all Blackheath offers. Trains from Blackheath link to Victoria, London Bridge, Charing Cross and Cannon Street- change one stop away at Lewisham for DLR services to Canary Wharf. Local state primary schools include several with OFSTED "outstanding" status the nearest being John Ball, Brooklands or All Saints. "Outstanding" secondary state options are St Ursula's and Harris Academy Greenwich while Matthew Academy, Thomas Tallis and John Roan all share a "good" rating. Local independents include Blackheath High, Riverston, Colfes and Greenwich Steiner.
