Musgrove Road, London, SE14 - £1,350,000

Not only is this a large family home, it has a highly desirable layout, superb interior styling and period features (the front door, sash windows, internal doors, fireplace, coving) . A separate front reception enables undisturbed TV viewing, the dining room is ideal for entertaining or family meals (or entertaining family meals?!) while the sunken rear kitchen has a built-in banquette that encourages casual kitchen socialising. Dark wood floors are both practical and good-looking, thick brimmed bookshelves are built into front room alcoves and custom made blue-grey cabinets have been added to the dining room. A useful shower room has walk-in wet area, twin wall-hung basins, a back-to-wall W.C, black wall tiles and vanity units finished in black.

White handless units line an entire kitchen wall and twin ovens have been fitted horizontally alongside a built-in microwave. The large island has a stainless steel worktop with a deep drop-in sink and 5-ring inset gas hob. Integrated appliances include a dishwasher, fridge/freezer and washing machine. French doors open out to a 40ft garden with front and rear patios, an ivy-laden rear wall, small silver birch tree and borders with established plants.

The basement has been remodelled to create a huge family room with wooden floor, recessed down-lighters and a separate entrance from the front of the house. There's also a fifth bedroom/study, a cloakroom and two cupboards. The potential is here to use it as rentable space or a nanny/granny flat.

Three of the first-floor bedrooms are doubles while the fourth is a good-size single. Built-in wardrobes have been added to two bedrooms, there's a separate cloakroom and a contemporary bathroom styled similarly to the shower room. The shower is a walk-in wet area, there's a modern freestanding bath, a wide wall-hung basin, wall-mounted basin taps, black wall tiles and black vanity units.

If you wanted to extend into the attic it's worth knowing there is ample space for an extra bedroom, walk-in wardrobe and bathroom. You'd just need to gain planning permission.

New Cross Gate trains are a 7-minute walk away, in zone 2 and operate on the Victoria to London Bridge line. London Overground links from here will get you to Canada Water, Whitechapel, Shoreditch, Hoxton, Dalston Junction and Highbury & Islington. Haberdasher's Aske's has been rated an "outstanding" school by OFSTED and takes children from Reception to A-level. Telegraph Hill Park is a short walk for incredible views, a One O'clock Club, seasonal events and a regular farmers' market. Plenty of good places to eat and drink are nearby, in fact we're fans of your local pub-The Telegraph at the Earl of Danby.
