Lee Road, Blackheath, SE3 - £2,450,000

Prepare to fall in love. An elliptical bay with ceiling-to-floor windows, another one below. A wrought-iron balconette, French doors everywhere, original working shutters, stripped wood floors, fire surrounds, high ceilings, high skirting and a long and winding four-flight stairwell full of curves. Every window has something verdant and green bursting through it. Make yourself at home in the house; your teenager, nanny, parent or tenant will adore living in the cottage.

Lovingly restored over 10 years, there has been no expense spared. A unique and fabulous round kitchen courtesy of Greenwich Woodworks has granite work surfaces (no joins!), a Stoves range, Franke taps, and a wood-burning stove that radiates warmth all winter. There's enough space down here to run a crèche for the class whilst on the hall floor you hold Pilates for parents. You could easily entertain a 100 plus people for an event without feeling the squeeze.

The beautiful bathroom fittings are Duravit and Hans Grohe and the cabinets are Walnut. Windows that could be replaced have been faithfully copied, others have been meticulously restored. The Valiant boiler with mega flow and tanks mean water travels hot and fast. Radiators are contemporary, wall lights add softness and the decor is neutral.

Park up to 6 cars off-road. Dine indoors or round the purpose-built circular patio, throw a rug out on the grass or trek two minutes into the village. This is really is one of the best locations in Blackheath. If you are particularly eco-careful, with the station a mere 2 minute walk you could give up the car altogether. If you don't know Blackheath, you will find some of the best private and state schools are all nearby. The village offers a wealth of delightful, bespoke independent shops and restaurants. The Heath is a hive of activity with fairs, festivals and concerts. View now. Houses like this are few and far between.
