Heavenly 7-bedroom family home with over 3200sq.ft of space, basement accommodation and an 80ft garden. Moments from Haberdashers' Aske's, Telegraph Hill Park and Zone 2 trains/Overground links at New Cross Gate and Brockley.

Spanning four floors, this elegant Victorian semi-detached home has some fine original features (cornicing, floorboards and fireplaces) and some worthy modern additions (double-glazed sash windows and converted loft space). Victorian tessellated tiles remain in the hallway, there's a working fire in the double reception and views form the top of the house reach right across London.

On the raised ground floor is superb reception space and a colossal rear kitchen/diner. Both rooms have French doors that open to the garden which has a paved patio, rasied beds, deep lawn, established plants and faces south east. south easterly aspect. The kitchen is made of freestanding units, wall cabinets and a a bit of ingenious carpentry. There's a large freestanding stove, freestanding dishwasher and an exposed reinforced steel joist in the centre of the ceiling. At over 35 feet long, you could barely wish for larger family/entertaining space.

The basement has a large bedroom at the front, a bathrooms (roll-top bath and funky tiling), utility space and a large cellar. Many of the houses here have an external door to the basement and use this space as au pair's quarters or rented it as a flat. It would be easy to reinstate a door if you so wished.

On the first floor are three glorious double bedrooms and a luxurious shower room with a walk-in wet area, double sink, loo and space for a large linen dresser. The original part of the second floor is made up of the two rear double bedrooms, one of which has the original wardrobe. The attic was converted about five years' ago into a beautifully light bedroom with foiur skylights and lots of eaves storage.

Walk to New Cross Gate or Brockley for Zone 2 trains to London Bridge and Victoria or London Overground links to Canada Water, Shoreditch, Hoxton, Dalston Junction and Highbury & Islington. Both stations are under 10-minutes' walk. Haberdashers' Aske's Hatcham College is fiercely oversubscribed but luckily on this very street, has been rated 'outstanding' by Ofsted and takes children from four to eighteen. Goldsmiths' University is a few minutes' walk and there's a large Saisnbury's by the train station. There are many good pubs to eat and drink in while Telegraph Hill Park has a regular farmers' market, seasonal events, a community garden, children's club and fabulous views. Brockley has some excellent independent shops while Camberwell, Peckham, Deptford, Greenwich and Blackheath are all a short trip down the road.
