Crewys Road, Peckham, London, SE15

££685,000

3 Bedroom House Under Offer

Classic Victorian home with three double bedrooms, interconnecting receptions, a kitchen/diner, a cellar and a south-facing garden. Walk to Peckham Rye, Queen’s Road or Nunhead station and every enticing bar, restaurant and independent shop in the area.

The two really brilliant things about this house are that on this side of the street, gardens face directly south and all three bedrooms are true doubles. Another notable advantage is the plentiful living space. Two receptions interconnect via new dividing doors (so could easily be opened up), and the rear room has a pivot French door that opens out to the garden. A window seat has been fitted into the perfect dining spot in the kitchen/diner (the side bay window), every sash window is double-glazed, there's also a downstairs cloakroom and the original coal cellar.

While a cosmetic upgrade is a touch overdue, the layout is great, making renovations reasonably straightforward.

Walk to Queen’s Road station in five/seven minutes for Zone 2 trains (London Bridge) and London Overground links (Clapham Junction, Canada Water, Shoreditch, Hoxton, Dalston Junction and Highbury & Islington). Nunhead station is a six/nine minute walk for alternative Zone 2 trains (Victoria, Blackfriars, City Thameslink, Farringdon and St Pancras). Primary age children can attend John Donne (Ofsted 'outstanding'), St Mary Magdalene (CofE) or Hollydale, both are rated ‘good’. Older kids do well at St Thomas the Apostle and either of the Peckham Rye Harris academies, which are both Ofsted ‘outstanding.’

You're spoilt for nearby foodie nights out. Peckham is crammed with excellent venues. Try Pedlar, Artusi, Forza Win, Peckham Bazaar, Persepolis, Mr Bao, Banh Banh, Miss Tapas or Honest Burger. Meanwhile in Nunhead, Babette and Napura are also very good. There are bars aplenty too, we love Peckham Springs, The Prince of Peckham, Frank's, Bar Story and The White Horse (among many others in Peckham) or The Beer Shop, The Old Nun's Head and El Vermut (a vermouth bar) in Nunhead. Peckham has London’s best value multi-screen cinema, a farmers' market, leisure centre and supermarkets. Nunhead has a lovely independent high street with a superb fishmonger, butcher and bakery.
