Mersham is a charming village, just four miles from Ashford International station which has high speed trains to St Pancras (37-minutes) and Eurostar services. The M20 is two miles away, you're a 15-minute drive to the Eurotunnel and around 30-minutes to Dover. A regular bus service to Ashford passes the William Harvey Hospital.

The village primary is rated 'good' by Ofsted, while older kids fare well at Highworth Grammar in Ashford ('outstanding'), or Harvey Grammar and Folkstone School for Girls (both 'outstanding'). There are plenty of reputable 'good' secondary options including Norton Knatchbull Grammar.

Mersham is pronounced "Murzam" locally and has a Post Office, village shop, church and a sports club specialising in cricket and football. There are two pubs in the village, one is a Shepherd Neame and the other is owned by a consortium of villagers and has its own microbrewery. Ashford offers shopping centres, a designer outlet, a Picturehouse cinema, banks, chemists, restaurants and bars.
